Why I Became a Life Coach – my personal journey to discover my Ikigai and purpose in my life.

Have you ever wondered why someone would choose to become a life coach? I am happy to share my personal journey that led me to become a life coach, and the reasons why I am so passionate about helping others reach their full potential. I was going through a really low phase in my career and a rather tumultuous personal life in 2016, when I discovered Life Coaching. I began exploring and enrolled in a course to learn and imbibe those experiences for myself. In the process, I not only managed to overcome my professional challenges, but I also found my Ikigai – that which I love, I am good at, what the world needs and something that also is financially remunerative.
From a young age, I have always had a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others. I found myself constantly seeking ways to lend a helping hand, whether it was offering a listening ear or providing guidance to friends and family. It became clear to me that my purpose in life was to support and empower others in their personal and professional growth.
Throughout my own personal journey, I encountered numerous challenges and obstacles. However, it was through these trials that I discovered the power of personal growth. I realized that by embracing change and adopting a growth mindset, I was not only able to overcome adversity but also unlock my true potential.
As I continued to develop my own personal growth, my passion for empowering others grew stronger. I witnessed firsthand the transformative effects that coaching, and mentorship had on individuals, enabling them to overcome their fears, set meaningful goals, and achieve success. This ignited a fire within me to train in further deepening my skills as a life coach and be a lighthouse for others on their own transformative journeys. I did a certification in Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) and am now on the path to becoming a PCC level coach.
One of the most rewarding aspects of being a life coach is witnessing the incredible growth and success of my coachees. Seeing them overcome their limitations, break through barriers, and achieve their dreams brings me immense joy and fulfillment. It is an honor to be a part of their journey and to play a role in their personal and professional success.
As a life coach, I am committed to continuous learning and development. I am dedicated to staying up to date with the latest coaching techniques, strategies, and research to ensure that I provide the highest level of support to my clients. I am a member of the International Coach Federation, the apex body for Coaching in the world that emphasizes continuous education for Coaches. I am also a member of the Hyderabad ICF Chapter, spending time with other coaches and learning from them. This community of Coaches also support me every time I feel stuck or in need to clear my mind of any confusion or dilemma. By continuously expanding my knowledge and skills, I can offer valuable insights and guidance to help individuals navigate life's challenges and seize new opportunities.
Training as a life coach has been a life changing experience for me. The desire to make a difference, personal growth experiences, passion for empowering others, joy of seeing others succeed, and commitment to continual learning have all played a significant role in shaping my decision to pursue this path. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as a guide and support system for individuals seeking to unlock their full potential, discover their Ikigai and live a life of purpose and fulfillment.
